LiveWires
LiveWires was established in 1999 (as Automation Interfaces Ltd) by Tim Fellows, pictured right. Recently a new company called LiveWires Automation Ltd has been established.
Tim graduated from Cambridge University in Physics in 1985 and went on to work for a number of years in instrumentation manufacturing companies where he first encountered LabVIEW. In 1996, he joined a systems integration company where he became project manager for the company's team of LabVIEW programmers. In 1998, he passed a 2-hour exam in LabVIEW and a 2-day presentation course to become Europe's first LabVIEW Certified Instructor outside of National Instruments itself, and then in early 1999, he set up LiveWires. In 2004, Tim took (and passed) another exam to become a Certified LabVIEW Developer.
Tim now has a wealth of experience in providing custom software for a wide variety of medical, scientific and engineering applications. He has spent over 14 man-years so far on LabVIEW projects! (See Examples of Completed Projects and News for details.)

Up until 2009, LiveWires was a full Alliance Member of National Instruments. (This means that National Instruments recommended us to their customers to assist with LabVIEW work and systems integration.) Now, however, with an established customer base, we feel it is no longer necessary to be part of National Instruments' Alliance Program. We still, however, recommend National Instruments as an excellent company to be involved with.
3rd World Support
The famine in several Southern African countries has been well publicised, and many are still in a desperate state. When possible, we send some of our profits to a friend in Malawi who heads up a church organisation which cares for orphans, AIDS victims, single mothers, prisoners and other disadvantaged groups.
